Jerry and Vickie Durant and family celebrated the 40th year of their Chevrolet dealership in Parker County.  Jerry began his career with Chevrolet originally located in downtown Weatherford.  Always a maverick, Jerry moved his agency out to a desolate corner of Parker County known as Hudson Oaks.  His generous support of local organizations such as the East Parker County Chamber of Commerce and local business people have been instrumental in the tremendous growth of the community.

Ron Chandler, Commander of the Parker County American Legion Post 163 in Weatherford, celebrated joining the East Parker County Chamber of Commerce with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.  Post 163 was chartered on March 20, 1920.  It welcomes members of all armed forces emphasizing Americanism, National Security, Veterans and youth education.  Post 163 supports Boys State and Girls State and gives aid and assistance to veteran families in need.

This new exit ramp will enable easier access to Jerry’s Auto, Southwest Ford, Wal-Mart and other businesses located West of exit 414.

Anytime Fitness owners Barry Miller and Tim Swearingin celebrated their grand opening and joining the East Parker County Chamber of Commerce with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.  Although, Anytime Fitness is new to the area it is not new to other parts of the country, it is a franchised business open 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

For several years Weatherford Regional Medical Center has been showing improvements and growth. Remodeling of the main hospital facility began two years ago and was finished last year.  In the meantime WRMC began expansion away from the main facility.  This expansion just passed the Weatherford Post Office building on Hilltop has seen fast growth.  WRMC built a Primary Care facility which opened last year.  Continuing their expansion WRMC celebrated the grand opening of a new Childrens' Clinic with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.

The East Parker County Genealogy Historical Society - Judy Cordell is the President of this non-profit organization.  The group collects and preserves knowledge and information of genealogical, historical and geographical data.  They promote interest in accurate, thorough research and careful documentation.  They also provide education and training in genealogical education.
