Chamber Creates Foundation for Disaster Relief

Created by Andrew Decker |

In January 2019, the East Parker County Chamber of Commerce Foundation was organized as a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization. With the initial board of directors in place, the foundation has set about the business of determining what the Foundation will be.

The purpose of the Foundation is to educate and assist the businesses of Parker County in disaster recovery. In the coming months, the Foundation will be encouraging you and your business to make a disaster recovery plan. We will give you notice of the annual tax-free weekend for you to purchase disaster recovery supplies.

The Foundation is working to build a base of funds so they are ready when a disaster hits our fair county. These funds will be ready to be used to help our business community respond, rebuild, and recover following a disaster. None of us want to think about the effects a fire, a tornado, or other catastrophe might have on our community and our business, but we want to be ready.

If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation, or if you have any questions regarding the Foundation, feel free to contact the Chamber or the Chair of the Foundation, Andrew Decker, at  To read more about the foundation, visit: Foundation Page.
